1.0 PURPOSE<br>
1.1 To establish a Job Description that outlines the reporting relationships, prerequisites, responsibilities<br>
and general job requirements for the Senior Quality Assurance Engineer.<br>
2.0 SCOPE<br>
2.1 This Job Description shall apply to the Senior Quality Assurance Engineer at *** Wuxi.<br>

5.0 RESPONSIBILITIES<br>
5.1 It shall be the responsibility of the QA Manager or Assistant Quality Assurance Manager to ensure that the Senior QA Engineer understands this Job Description<br>
5.2 It shall be the responsibility of the Senior QA Engineer to perform the functions as outlined within this document<br>
6.0 REPORTING RELATIONSHIP<br>
6.1 The Senior QA Engineer shall report to QA Manager or Assistant QA Manager depending on the organization chart.<br>
7.0 JOB SUMMARY<br>
7.1 To be content expert for the product assigned to provide customer dedicated support in Quality<br>
Engineering issues<br>
7.2 Enhance the capability of the QA department by providing technical and administrative support to engineering group in improving quality and yield of the product<br>
8.0 PREREQUISITES<br>
8.1 Degree in Science or Technical discipline with at least 3 years of working experience in the Quality related or engineering field.<br>
9.0 JOB DESCRIPTION<br>
9.1 Yield Analysis and Process Support – Monitor process yield throughout the line. Monitor yielddecreasing problem and implement and drive internal corrective actions. Guide and advice the QA Engineer on this if there is a QA Engineer reporting to the Senior QA Engineer in the organization chart<br>
9.2 Experimentation – carry out experimentation, process capability studies, or other technical evaluation to improve yield and quality. Guide and advice the QA Engineer on this if there is a QA Engineer reporting to the Senior QA Engineer in the organization chart.<br>
9.3 Customer Corrective Action Support – Drive customer corrective actions by carrying out root cause failure analysis, cross-sectioning, dimensional analysis, or other means. In addition, communicate with customers when necessary to ensure verification of corrective actions. Guide and advice the QA Engineer on this if there is a QA Engineer reporting to the Senior QA Engineer in the organization chart.<br>
9.4 Internal Communication – Ensure production information is communicated consistently and effectively throughout the line and from shift to shift. This communication might include inspection instructions, customer complaints, production scheduling or other specific instructions.<br>
9.5 Develop, motivate and challenge all team members to perform to their full potential, providing direct and timely feedback in formal and informal media.<br>
9.6 Monitor and evaluate the level of involvement and success of the Quality Engineering activities and their impact on the continuous improvement of process yields and efficiencies. Provide the appropriate level of feedback, support and coaching.<br>
9.7 Provide support to the Business Managers and maintain an active role in functions involving ***’s customers. Monitor the product acceptance levels (yields) an seen by the customer and ensure that appropriate preventive measures are taken.<br>
9.8 CAC – Chair the CAC meeting, lead and drive Continuous Improvement on product quality with the workcell team members.<br>
9.9 Stop line or shipment Authorization – He / she is fully authorized to call for stop line or shipment at any point to time with regards to quality issues that in his / her justification can impact customer’s products.<br>
9.10 Evaluate and schedule appropriate training programs and / or seminar for the Quality<br>
Assurances staff, including direct employees<br>
9.11 Ensure consistency in Quality Report Generation, line audit carried out for all projects and oversee all process improvement, technology, jigs and fixtures to be implemented to all projects when feasible.
